How can I obtain a Visa letter invitation for the PhotoPlus Expo?
PhotoPlus will provide a Visa letter for each attendee who requests it.

A Visa letter will automatically be generated once you register for the PhotoPlus. During the registration process you will be promoted to provide your full contact information and country of origin’s information. Please fill out the registration form accurately. Your registration contact information must match exactly with the contact information and information that appears on your passport. Once you have completed your registration you will receive a confirmation email with a link where you will be able to print your personalized invitation letter. The entire process is very easy and fast. Please note that an invitation letter is not a decisive in determining whether to not the Visa will be issued.

Will there be shuttles to/from the convention center and the hotels?
Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Jacob Javits Convention Center, Penn Station and the hotels in our block. Please visit the Hotel & Travel section of our website in September for parking details and shuttle services schedule.

When will I receive my badge?
Badges will not be mailed. Please be sure to print your registration confirmation email and bring it to the Will Call counter at the Javits Center Convention during show registration hours.

Can I get an invoice for my attendee registration?

All registrations must be paid in full prior to receiving conference badge. Please allow five business days for processing your invoice request.

Can I register onsite?
Yes, please visit the "Register Here" attendee registration counters at the Javits Convention Center during registration hours. Please note that onsite registration fees are higher than online, advance registration fees.

I want to bring a guest, is there a guest registration?
All attendees must be individually registered; there is no guest registration.

If I need to cancel, what is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations of Conference seminars are subject to a $50 processing fee.

Refunds are not permitted after September 30, 2012. Any registration made after September 30, 2012 is non-refundable.

Refunds are not permitted for Gold Expo Passes, Student Passes, or Special Event tickets. These items are non-refundable.

All refund requests received prior to September 30, 2012 will be issued approximately two weeks after the 2012 PDN PhotoPlus International Conference + Expo.

All cancellations must be received in writing and sent by email: photoplus@experient-inc.com

Substitution Policy: After September 30, 2012 substitutions will be allowed in the event the registrant is unable to attend, but no refunds will be issued. The substitute must bring the registrant's confirmation letter to the Registration Desk at the Javits Convention Center to receive a badge for admission.

Can I attend PhotoPlus Expo for free?
Yes! Register online before October 24, 2012 for an Expo Only pass to receive free admission to the exhibit hall, October 25-27. Your advance Expo registration will also include free admission to the Test Drive Rally, held October 24th, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Javits Convention Center, the day before PhotoPlus Expo opens. (PhotoPlus Expo onsite registration is $60)

What does the Gold Expo Pass include?
Includes an exclusive onsite Customer Service Desk, admittance to Gold Expo lounge with free Wi-Fi, admission to all keynote sessions and a premium swag bag filled with giveaways and special offers. Also, 20 lucky Gold Expo Pass buyers will find a Golden Ticket in their bag for an amazing prize valued up to $500 such as an iPad, photo gear sponsored by B&H Photo, gift cards and more. The Gold Expo Pass is included with Basic and Elite Nielsen Photo Group membership packages. Register online before October 24th and your Gold Expo Pass is $60. The onsite price for a Gold Expo Pass is $100.

Do I need a ticket to attend keynote presentations?
Yes. The admission fee to attend any keynote presentation held on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday is $10 per session, per person. However, with the purchase of a Gold Expo Pass or any seminar pass, admission to all keynote presentations is included and there is not additional cost. Please present your registration badge reflecting your Gold Expo Pass purchase or Conference pass purchase at the keynote entrance. (includes all WPPI U and/or PhotoPlus seminars).

Expo Only attendees may select a keynote presentation(s) as an a la carte’ item with online registration or on-site.

What is the PhotoPlus Planner?
The PhotoPlus Planner is a free online resource designed to help pre-registered attendees learn about exhibitors participating at the show. The PhotoPlus Planner includes an interactive tool that will identify the companies that match to your selected product categories of interest. Each pre-registered attendee will receive a Welcome email with a personal log-in link where you can set-up your profile and use resources to help you make the most of your trip to the show. Are cameras allowed on the expo floor?
Yes, cameras are allowed. However, no photographs are permitted of exhibit displays unless you have the exhibitor's permission.

Are children allowed on the show floor?
PhotoPlus is a trade event. No one under the age of 16 is permitted on the show floor without adult supervision at all times. Proof of age and/or a student ID is required. Infants and children are not permitted in conference sessions.

Are wheeled carts and/or bags allowed on the show floor?
For the safety of all attendees, no strollers or rolling carts of any kind are permitted. Rolling bags must not be larger than the size of an airline carry-on to be permitted on the show floor.

Are wheelchairs or motorized scooters available?
Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first serve basis. Simply visit the Javits Concierge Desk to sign a wheelchair out. If you need a motorized scooter, you can reserve one by calling 212-216-2222 and making a reservation with a Javits preferred vendor.

What is the attire for the show?
The conference is business casual. Temperatures can vary within the convention center. We recommend dressing in layers of clothing that make you comfortable and confident, along with very comfortable shoes.

Are discounts provided to students?
Yes, students with valid Student ID presented at registration receive free access to the PhotoPlus Expo. Student may also register for Two-hour seminars for $50 each and or Three-hour seminars for $60 each.

Students may also attend WPPI University, a one day workshop, for the special rate of $79.

No discounts apply to Hands-on Labs.

Do I need to be a WPPI member to attend WPPI University?
No, WPPI University registration is open to everyone. WPPI members receive a discounted price ($99.00 online advance purchase before October 24th; $139.00, onsite)

Do I need to get a ticket to attend the conference seminars?
You do not need a ticket, but you must purchase a Conference Pass with your registration order. When you pick-up your badge onsite, there will be a Conference Pass next to your badge with a list all of the seminars you selected. Please show your Conference Pass upon entering each seminar room.

Will speaker handouts be available on-site?
We will not be providing paper handouts this year. All speaker materials will be emailed to each attendee if the speaker has handout materials the week prior to the conference. For attendees who sign up on-site, an email will be sent with the speaker’s materials after the conference and available by accessing your PhotoPlus Planner.

Portfolio Reviews

How does the Portfolio Review Program work?
The Portfolio Review Program is open only to emerging and professional photographers. Other programs have a first-come, first-served policy – if you register later than others, you may miss out. However, this program allows you to choose your review appointments. We do our absolute best to make sure you’ll see 3 out of every 5 of your chosen reviewers, and generally more. The Portfolio Review faculty for PhotoPlus will be posted and updated each week on the website.

Once registered, attendees will receive an email in mid-October letting them know when they can choose their reviewers online at our website. Reviews are purchased in blocks of five for $275 per block, with a 10% discount for 2 or more blocks. We do our absolute best to make sure you’ll see 3 out of every 5 of your chosen reviewers, and generally more. For those we can't allot (unlikely), we will assign reviews from "like" affiliation reviewers. In other words, if the last two choices are from the Editorial affiliation, we'll assign other magazine photo editors or art directors if we can't assign those chosen. In addition, each morning beginning at 8:00 am, at the Javits Convention Center, pre-registered attendees will be able to register for the reviews of their choice. For those not pre-registered, a separate registration desk will be available to both register and select reviews. Reviews are by appointment only. Additional series of five reviews each may be purchased upon request. Attendees should be present in our waiting area at least 15 minutes before reviews. We reserve the option to allow others to take the review if attendees are not in the waiting area when the review is scheduled to begin.

Can I buy additional Portfolio Reviews once I’m at the event?
Yes! Portfolio Reviews are available in blocks of 5 online or at the Festival Registration desk at the Javits Convention Center.

What is the Cancellation Policy if I have to cancel my Portfolio Review registration?
Because of the time-sensitive nature of reserving portfolio reviews, we can only refund 100% of your registration fee until Friday, October 5th, 2012. Between October 6 and October 12 we can refund 75% of your registration fees in case of cancellation, and after October 13th, no refunds can be made.
