Master the Art of Photography by Joining PDN’s Workshops

The PDN PhotoPlus International Conference and Expo is an annual photography event for professionals, students, educators and advanced amateurs interested in the photography and digital imaging industries such as commercial, editorial, wedding, portrait and art photography, among others. The PhotoPlus photography conference includes photography courses, seminars, lectures and workshops taught by some of the world’s finest photography instructors and artists on subjects such as lighting and posing, wedding photography, business and marketing, social media, software and workflow, and video and multimedia.

Photography as art is able to give mankind a new perspective on life; isolating truth, preserving reality, and something anyone is capable of creating. However, there are as many styles of photography as there are photographers. PhotoPlus draws thousands of emerging, professional and advanced amateur photographers every year to attend a creative photography workshop. Students typically are introduced to techniques for seeing creatively as it relates to photographic composition and understanding the thought process of making and editing a photo. People interested in bringing fresh perspectives to their photography should consider attending courses and workshops dedicated to photography as art. Attending an art photography workshop may be ideal for anyone interested in giving meaning to their photographs, books or careers. Attendees may even learn about intimately engaging their subject by going beneath the surface of capturing a portrait and showing the inner person behind the exterior. Recent PhotoPlus art photography courses included keynotes from speakers such as: The Life of the Photograph by Sam Abell; The Intimate Portrait by Joyce Tenneson; The Documentary Project: How to Tell a Story by Darcy Padilla; Perception, Light, Gesture, Color and New Work by Jay Maisel; Get Your MOJO Working: The Creative Impulse by Keith Carter; and The Art of Seeing by Bryan Peterson. Even more, panel discussions are frequently part of the PhotoPlus creative photography workshops such as The New World of Online Magazines + Curator Websites, featuring panelists Julie Grahame, Michael, Itkoff, Manjari and Sophia Wallace; and Your Picture on The Wall: Building a Career in Fine Art Photography featuring anelists; Yseult Chehata, Ruben Natal-San Miguel, Amani Olu, Jefrey Teuton & AliceSachs Zimet.

The PhotoPlus conference is typically structured for anyone to purchase a pass that’s most suitable for their educational needs, available time or budget. The PhotoPlus Conference and Expo is held each October at the Javits Convention Center in New York City and regularly attracts over 250 exhibitors and nearly 22,000 attendees.
